Earth's gravity at a higher plane.

Indian President Pratibha Patil flies in fighter jet. Here is the photo from Manorama, that fails to show who is sitting inside. The speed of the aircraft is mentioned as 700-800 km per hour, but in fact Sukhoi is capable of flying at higher speeds.Indian President wore a G-suit for the flight. Manorama reports earth's gravitational effect is very large when you fly at a higher level and this suit helps you to maintain the normal blood pressure.

In reality gravitational effect diminishes as you move farther.

The G-suit has nothing to do with earth's gravitational force. It helps you deal with very high acceleration.

When Manorama reports something, it is expected to be spicy and that is why we read "Creating History" more often. The Hindu says its 44km off the cost. So is Manorama just below the picture, but could not resist adding another 4km while reporting. While the cost of the water produced at 3-4 Paise/L is acceptable Rs 5/L is highly unrealistic. Why worry about drawing water from 500m deep while surface water is available? answer: the deep cold water is used for condensing the water vapour generated from the warm water (presently surface water and the plan is to use water from thermal power plant)
